This blog post will tell you everything I can think of to tell you about the Whispering Pines Shetland Sheep Farm 2026 Fleece Auction
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Bidding starts on Sunday, September 13 at 6 pm EST and will run for a week, ending on Sunday September 20th at 6 PM EST. All the fleeces are on the website now and are available for you to view but bids cannot be placed yet. Bidding will begin on September 13.

Some things are new this year:
- I am using a new auction app, so it is going to look different from prior auctions.
- All listings are scheduled for an end time of 6 pm on Sunday, September 20. HOWEVER. If there are still bids being placed on listings, those listings will remain open after the 6 pm close time. Bids can still be placed on those listings as long as the duration between bids is less than two minutes. Once a bid is placed and 2 minutes pass with no additional bids, then the auction for that listing will close and the fleece will be sold.
- Bidders can place a maximum bid amount on a fleece and the auction app with place bids for you up to the amount. You can increase the maximum bid amount. You can lower your max bid amount as long as it is higher than the current showing bid.
- You can now follow fleeces by clicking on the heart icon in the listing for that fleece.
Then when you click on the heart icon at the top of the page it will display all the listings you are following. This feature is only available for the fleece auction, it doesn't work on other products on my website.
You need to create an account in order to participate in the fleece auction, I suggest you do that now to make sure you are all set up and ready for when the bidding begins.
All listings should have photos of the ewe, fleeces, micron data, and details about the fleece. I also made a youtube video for most of the fleeces that are being sold in the auction. Click here to view the YouTube Playlist for all the fleece videos

You can filter listings based on criteria, one criteria at a time unfortunately. Filter by color, lamb, staple greater than 2 inches, and a few others.
